It Started With a Veteran and a Small Shop in Los Angeles.
Julian Vecchione, known to everyone as Vic, came home from World War II and opened a small furniture shop in Los Angeles. He built to a simple, stubborn standard: solid wood, joined and finished by hand, made to last for generations rather than seasons.
In an era already turning toward the fast and the disposable, that was a quiet act of conviction. Eighty years later, it is still the whole idea.
Founded in 1946 and acquired by Vic in 1951.
We've had the same name since Trend Manor was founded in 1946. The name is rich with American history, built by hard-working Americans and decorating homes for 80 years. In an era when much of the industry has shifted to throwaway furniture, Trend Manor stands among the few remaining manufacturers devoted to building real wood furniture that can last a lifetime.

1946 · Vic
Julian "Vic" Vecchione, home from the war, opens a furniture shop in Los Angeles. Solid wood, built by hand, made to last. The standard is set.
1961 · Ted
Vic's son Ted joins the business, learning the trade at his father's side and carrying it into a second generation.
Today · Greg
Vic's grandson Greg leads Trend Manor from the family workshop in City of Industry, California, holding every piece to the standard his grandfather set.

We build from 100% solid, sustainably sourced American grown oak, rift and quartersawn for strength, stability, and a grain you cannot fake. No veneer. No particleboard. Furniture built to be handed down cannot be built quickly.
The key to longevity lies in obsession over every last detail.
